Benevita Healthy Lifestyle Regime

Starting any new lifestyle requires a bit of a change in the way you think. You need to do a bit of planning, think about how you will shop for groceries and also look at maybe cooking in a new way or adding to your current repertoire of recipes. We want to make it a little easier for you.

Below you will find an easy to use table that you can print and post on your fridge, a multitude of nutritional advice from our nutritionist, ideas on how to boost your weight loss, clear explanations on why eating certain foods help promote or hinder weight loss and you will also find a variety of recipes to get you started within this Healthy Living section.

The Five Day Weight Loss Boost

You may want to give your weight loss a boost in the first five days. It has been found that new lifestyle changes are adhered to for longer when greater weight loss occurs early on. Motivation is key!

Exclude all grains and fats in the first five days. Some of the weight loss you may experience may be from excess water held in the body. Excessive exercise should not be done during this period, but a regular-paced walk after a meal or stretching exercises like yoga or Pilates would be beneficial. Continue to drink lots of water and follow the rest of the Benevita Healthy Lifestyle Regime with Shake-It!, Go! and Recover!

Please note: this Five Day Weight Loss Boost should only be followed for a short period of time as longer periods may hinder weight loss later on.

Reintroduction Period

After the Five Day Weight Loss Boost, you are now ready to re-introduce grains and fats back into the diet. This must be done slowly, working your way up to the full Benevita Healthy Lifestyle Regime. Take two weeks for this period. In the first week, introduce a grain into one meal a day (preferably breakfast or lunch) and then include a fat portion in the other meal. In the second week, you can introduce grains into your dinner every other day, but keep the portions small (like the recommended lunches). In the third week, follow the normal Benevita Healthy Lifestyle Regime.

Monday, Tuesday Wednesday, thursday and Friday

    Replace breakfast with Shake-It!

    Start your day with a glass of lemon water (half a squeezed lemon) and 20-30 minutes of exercise. Drink a glass of water again after exercise.

  • Breakfast

    Enjoy the delicious chocolate  or vanilla flavour of Shake-It! Sip a glass of water afterwards.

  • Mid-morning

    Drink a glass of water slowly. Enjoy a Chocolate Crunch Bar or choose from the list of snacks.

  • Lunch

    Before lunch, take two capsules of Go! with a glass of water. Eat a balanced meal of protein, vegetables, whole-grain and fat.

  • Mid-afternoon

    Drink a glass of water. Enjoy a Chocolate Crunch Bar or choose from the list of snacks, but exclude the fat portion.

  • Dinner

    Before dinner, take two capsules of Recover! with a glass of water. Eat a balanced meal of protein, vegetables, whole-grain and fat.

  • Mid-evening

    Drink a glass of water.

Option 2

  • Dinner

    Before dinner, take two capsules of Recover! with a glass of water. Eat a balanced meal of protein, vegetables, whole-grain and fat.

  • Mid-evening

    Drink a glass of water.

Saturday and Sunday

Continue taking Go! and Recover! but enjoy a weekend break from Shake-It!

Enjoy the weekend but eat sensibly.

Optional: you may choose to continue to replace a meal with Shake-It!

  • Mid-afternoon

    Drink a glass of water slowly. Enjoy a Chocolate Crunch Bar or choose from the list of snacks, but exclude the fat portion.

  • Dinner

    Drink a glass of water slowly. Before dinner, take two capsules of Recover! with an additional glass of water. Eat a balanced meal of protein, vegetables, whole-grain and fat.

  • Mid-evening

    Drink a glass of water.
